"Nice mix of strong vocal harmonies and acoustic string band music, with a great selection of tunes. These guys like lots of different kinds of music, and their enjoyment of playing is evident on this latest release."

"Bluegrass with a midwestern flavor....

If you like your bluegrass with folk and blues influences then this is the album for you. If you like warm summer evenings with good food and good friends then you should already have this album. This is what porch music should be."

Our Porch Music CD was rated 4 Stars by CDBaby Reviewer Ronald Shewbridge

About Our Music

Home > About our music

Akron, Ohio's hot, harmonizing string band welcomes you to kick back on your favorite porch some Saturday night and wrap your ears around some old-timey folk music fun, from the first shuffle of Wild Rose of the Mountain to the vocal leads of Mole in the Ground, from the banjo in Colours to the high harmonies of Black-eyed Susie.

Featuring five-string and tenor banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, dobro, concertina, and stand-up bass, our music celebrates joyous, foot-stomping mountain tunes, blues, 60s folk, and 1930s standards -- all performed in grand style by the four-member Ramblers. Lace up your steel-toed clogging shoes and cut loose.

Several band members have written original songs that we perform and are on our CDs. You can read the lyrics by checking out Wayne's "The AC&Y", Dave's "Tears in Tennessee", and Dave's "Skye Mountain". These songs and many others are available on our Live at Lock 3, Porch Music, and Medina Rose CDs. Check them out out on the Music on CD page, or click on the CD graphics.
